AIMIM delegation meets Nizamabad Police Commissioner seeking action in Alur assault case
Following the directions of Asaduddin Owaisi, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Hyderabad MP, AIMIM leaders from Nizamabad met Nizamabad Police Commissioner Sai Chaitanya on Friday seeking strict action against those involved in the brutal assault of an auto driver in Alur village.
Incident Details
According to the complaint, Feroz Khan, an auto-rickshaw driver from Nizamabad, had transported passengers from Nizamabad Railway Station to Alur after agreeing on the fare. After dropping them, a few local children requested a lift. Feroz Khan carried them for a short distance, during which two children suddenly jumped out of the auto.
Suspecting kidnapping, local villagers gathered, questioned Feroz Khan about his identity, and launched a mob attack. He was allegedly dragged to the Gram Panchayat office, tied with ropes, and severely beaten by miscreants. Due to the assault, he lost consciousness.
Police Intervention
The Armoor Police arrived at the spot and shifted the critically injured Feroz Khan to Armoor Hospital. The victim later stated that had the police arrived any later, the incident could have turned fatal.
Feroz Khan, who works in Dubai, had returned to India on a three-month leave and was temporarily driving an auto-rickshaw to support his family during his stay.
AIMIM Intervention
After the incident, Feroz Khan approached the AIMIM Nizamabad office and narrated the ordeal, requesting justice and strict punishment for those involved in the life-threatening attack.
Subsequently, a delegation led by AIMIM Nizamabad Town President Shakeel Ahmed Fazil, Town General Secretary Mohammad Shehbaz, Senior Corporator and Joint Secretary Ejaz Hussain, former Corporator Abdul Saleem, and Khalil Ahmed met Police Commissioner Sai Chaitanya along with the victim.
The Police Commissioner assured a thorough inquiry and strict action against the attackers and advised the victim to file a formal complaint at Armoor Police Station.
FIR Registered
Following this, AIMIM Armoor President Mohammad Zaheer Ali, along with party leaders Mohammad Shehbaz Ahmed, Khalil Ahmed, and Amar Farooq, accompanied Feroz Khan to Armoor Police Station, where a written complaint was formally lodged.
Arrangements were also made to ensure better medical treatment for the injured driver.
Feroz Khan expressed gratitude to Asaduddin Owaisi, AIMIM leaders, and party workers for their timely support, guidance, and assistance in securing medical care and police action.
