All India Muslim Personal Law Board calls for nationwide bandh on October 3, urging shops to shut from 8 AM–2 PM in protest against Waqf Act 2025.
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) members from Hyderabad and Telangana, along with representatives of other organizations and community groups, have decided in a consultative meeting to implement the second phase of the “Waqf Bachao, Dastoor Bachao” (Save Waqf, Save Constitution) campaign across all regions of Telangana.
The meeting was presided over by Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, President of the AIMPLB. Senior members of the board from Hyderabad and leaders of various community organizations participated in the consultation.
It was stressed during the meeting that this is a collective community effort aimed at protecting Waqf properties and registering constitutional protest against the Waqf Act 2025.
The Board has resolved that on Friday, October 3, 2025, a nationwide bandh (shutdown) will be observed. All Muslims have been requested to participate in this peaceful protest by closing their shops and businesses between 8 AM and 2 PM. Protest posters will also be displayed at shops and establishments.
The Board further appealed that if members of other faiths or secular-minded citizens wish to participate in the bandh, they should be welcomed, but no one should be forced to take part.
The AIMPLB also clarified that during the bandh, medical services and emergency institutions will remain open so that essential services are not disrupted.
Leaders emphasized that this campaign is meant to safeguard constitutional rights and preserve community properties, urging people to join the movement with unity and discipline.
