Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and teacher Manisha, whose death case has sparked demands for a CBI investigation.
The case of teacher Manisha’s death in Bhiwani has taken a new turn. Villagers rejected the police’s claim that her death was a suicide and protested against the administration on Tuesday morning. The Panchayat of Dhani Laxman declared that Manisha’s last rites will not be performed until justice is served and demanded a CBI investigation into the matter.
Following the protests and pressure from the villagers, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced late Tuesday night that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will take over the investigation into Manisha’s murder case. The Chief Minister posted on the social media platform X:
“To ensure justice for our daughter Manisha of Bhiwani and her family, the state government and police administration are working with full seriousness and transparency. I am personally keeping a close watch on the case. Based on the family’s demand, the Haryana government is handing over the case to the CBI for a fair investigation. Complete justice will be delivered in this case.”
This announcement has raised hopes that justice will be served and the truth behind Manisha’s death will be revealed.
