Hyderabad sees relief from cold as temperatures rise; IMD predicts rain next week.
Residents across Hyderabad and several districts of Telangana experienced relief from the biting cold on Friday, as minimum temperatures showed a noticeable rise after days of persistent chill.
According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS), only three locations in the State recorded single-digit temperatures on Friday, compared to ten locations the previous day.
The lowest minimum temperature—8.7°C—was reported from Kumuram Bheem–Asifabad, slightly higher than Thursday’s 8.0°C. Adilabad stood at 9.1°C, while Sangareddy recorded 9.9°C.
Hyderabad Sees Slight Warm-Up
Within the GHMC limits, Serlingampally remained the coldest at 11.6°C, followed by 13.5°C in Ramachandra Puram and Patancheruvu. Chandanagar recorded 13.7°C.
Weather analysts predict that minimum temperatures across Telangana are likely to rise by 2–3°C over the next two to three days, offering further respite from the cold.
Rain Likely Due to Bay of Bengal Systems
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain for Jogulamba–Gadwal, Mahabubnagar and Suryapet districts on Saturday due to a developing low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal.
Hyderabad may also witness moderate to heavy rainfall around November 29 and 30, as another depression forms over the Bay.
Officials advised residents to stay updated with daily forecasts as weather conditions may change rapidly.
