Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are expected to feature significant improvements in display quality, thermal management, and battery performance, according to recent leaks. Weibo tipster Instant Digital revealed that the Pro models will sport brighter screens optimized for prolonged use even in direct sunlight, surpassing the iPhone 16 Pro’s current peak brightness of 2,000 nits during short bursts.
In addition to display upgrades, Apple is reportedly redesigning the cooling system to better manage thermal performance. This enhancement aims to provide smoother frame rates during intensive gaming and reduce frame drops, while also stabilizing 4K video recording at 60fps under warm conditions.
Battery life is anticipated to be the most notable advancement in the new models. The iPhone 17 Pro series is rumored to be Apple’s longest-lasting iPhones yet, buoyed by efficiency improvements combined with larger battery capacities. The iPhone 17 Pro Max could feature a battery exceeding 5,000 mAh, marking a first for Apple devices.
Apple is expected to unveil the full iPhone 17 lineup at its “Awe dropping” event scheduled for Tuesday, September 9, where more details about the devices and their features will become available.
