Prime Minister Narendra Modi at BJP headquarters in New Delhi celebrating NDA’s Bihar election victory
rime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hailed the massive mandate for the NDA in Bihar, calling it a turning point for the state and a sign of the BJP’s growing strength ahead of upcoming Assembly polls in West Bengal.
Addressing party workers at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi, Modi said the Congress has turned into a “Muslimleegi Maowadi Congress (MMC)” and predicted an internal split soon. “Some naamdars within the party are drowning everyone with them,” he remarked in a sharp attack on the opposition.
Wearing a Mithila-painted ‘gamchha’, Modi symbolically connected with the people of Bihar, saying the victory represented a new “M-Y formula” — Mahila and Youth — replacing the old “M-Y” (Muslim-Yadav) combination once used by the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
“Bihar has again proven that lies are defeated and people’s trust wins. This victory will bring new industries, jobs, and investment to the state,” Modi said, adding that the verdict reaffirmed trust in democracy and the Election Commission.
He congratulated Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and NDA allies, stating that the people of Bihar had taken the state “by storm.”
Taking aim at the Congress and its allies, the Prime Minister said, “I had warned them that Congress is a parasite — it has no positive vision for the country.”
Modi also drew a parallel between Bihar’s progress and the upcoming West Bengal elections. “Just as the Ganga flows to Bengal through Bihar, this victory has cleared the path for BJP’s win in Bengal too,” he said, vowing to “throw out jungle raj” from the state.
He praised the youth of Bihar for their role in supporting the Election Commission’s special revision of electoral rolls, saying that the new generation was helping “purify democracy.”
The Prime Minister’s comments came amid opposition claims of “vote theft,” with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleging collusion between the BJP and the Election Commission. Modi dismissed such allegations, saying the smooth, peaceful conduct of the Bihar polls had restored the credibility of the electoral process.
“This victory has infused new energy among BJP workers in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Assam, and West Bengal,” he said, adding that the NDA’s momentum will continue across India.
