Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has fueled excitement among fans after he revealed that his wife Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film with director Atlee will be “unlike anything Indian cinema has seen before.”
The yet-untitled film marks Deepika’s second collaboration with Atlee, following the massive success of “Jawan” (2023) starring Shah Rukh Khan, which broke box office records and became one of India’s highest-grossing films. The new project is being produced by Sun Pictures, known for backing South Indian blockbusters.
Speaking at a public event on Sunday, Ranveer shared his reaction after visiting the film’s set.
“I happened to visit Atlee sir on the sets because my wife was shooting there. You may have heard it before, but you can take it from me — he is creating something you may have never experienced in Indian cinema before,” Ranveer said.
Ranveer praised Atlee’s passion for cinema, calling him a “mad genius with a larger-than-life vision.” Industry sources suggest the film will feature pan-India scale, high-voltage drama and action, and will include a massive ensemble cast similar to Atlee’s past blockbusters.
Biggest Project of Deepika’s Career?
Reports indicate that Deepika plays a strong protagonist-driven role, and the story revolves around emotion, power, and sacrifice—a signature Atlee formula. The film is being planned as a 2026 theatrical release in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
While official announcements are awaited, industry insiders claim major stars from both Bollywood and South Indian cinema are in talks for supporting roles. Some reports even suggest that Atlee may feature a top superstar in a cameo appearance, continuing his tradition of cinematic surprises.
With increasing crossover collaborations between Bollywood and South Indian industries, this Deepika–Atlee project is already being hailed as India’s next big pan-India spectacle.
Sun Pictures is expected to make a formal title and cast announcement soon, along with a first look teaser that will set expectations soaring across the country.
