RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addresses international delegates at centenary celebrations, outlining India’s future vision and role of volunteers.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the media on Thursday during the organisation’s landmark centenary event. Over three days, he shared his vision for India’s future, emphasized the contribution of RSS volunteers, and fielded questions on pressing societal matters. His speeches were simultaneously translated into English, French, and Spanish for international delegates.
On the first day, Bhagwat discussed the pivotal role RSS volunteers play in nation-building and shaping India’s future. The second day focused on Swadeshi, where he insisted that true self-reliance means engaging with the world by choice, not under compulsion. He also highlighted rising fanaticism in the global landscape, pointing out how opposing views are often met with cancellation rather than dialogue.
On the third day, Bhagwat answered wide-ranging questions from participants. He underscored that technology and modernity should serve education and cultural development, reaffirmed RSS’s support for reservation policies, clarified that RSS does not dictate government decisions, and addressed concerns around religion, identity, and national unity. The centenary celebrations united delegates from numerous countries and communities, spotlighting RSS’s goal to foster social harmony and a strong, inclusive Indian society.
