Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Azharuddin inspects Waqf land at Kavuri Hills, Madhapur
The issue of illegal encroachments on Waqf land attached to Masjid Alamgir at Kavuri Hills in Guttala Begumpet, Madhapur, has prompted the Telangana government to adopt a firm stand, with Minority Welfare Minister Mohammad Azharuddin announcing a zero-tolerance policy towards the protection of Waqf properties.
Following complaints from the mosque committee, the Minister personally visited the site and conducted a joint inspection along with officials from the Revenue Department, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Hyderabad Police, HYDRAA, and the Telangana State Waqf Board.

He further cautioned that government officials found negligent in safeguarding Waqf assets would be held personally accountable.
