The Telangana government has immediately transferred Telangana Urdu Academy Director-Secretary Mohammed Safiullah after he made offensive and insensitive remarks about the victims of the Madina, Saudi Arabia bus accident that killed several Umrah pilgrims on Monday morning.
According to reports, Safiullah made the deeply hurtful comments at the Haj House while speaking to the grieving family members of the victims. He allegedly said…
“Kya woh Saudi Arab jale huey lashain dekhne ja rahe hain? Mile huey tukdon ko kya dekhte?”
The remarks sparked widespread outrage, and a video of his comments went viral on social media, drawing sharp criticism from the public and leaders across parties, including BRS representatives.
Following the controversy, the government issued immediate orders removing Safiullah from his position and sending him back to TG Genco.
In an official statement, the government said that such comments not only cause deep hurt to the grieving families but also damage the credibility and dignity of State institutions.
