IMD Hyderabad issues yellow alert forecasting heavy monsoon rains and thunderstorms across Telangana till August 29.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad has issued a yellow alert for heavy monsoon rains in various districts of Telangana until August 29. This alert follows a brief pause in intense rainfall over the past few days. The forecast predicts thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls across the state through Friday.
Weather expert T. Balaji, known for his accurate predictions, expects heavy rains across Telangana starting Tuesday due to the influence of a Low Pressure Area (LPA). Hyderabad is likely to experience moderate rainfall in the evenings and nights during this period. The IMD also forecasts misty or hazy conditions in the mornings.
The anticipated heavy rains are expected to lower temperatures in Hyderabad and surrounding districts. Recent reports showed temperatures dropping to 27.2°C in Nagarkurnool and 30.4°C in Shaikpet, Hyderabad. Residents are advised to plan their travel and daily activities carefully in light of the expected monsoon intensity.
