RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat speaks on Islam’s enduring presence in India and the need to stop infiltration.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat reiterated that Islam has been an integral part of India since its arrival and will continue to coexist in the country. Speaking at the third day of the RSS centenary celebrations in Delhi on August 28, Bhagwat emphasized that those who believe Islam will disappear from India are “not guided by Hindu thought.” He stressed that Hindu philosophy embraces unity and that lasting peace requires mutual trust and acceptance that all communities are one.
Addressing concerns about ‘infiltration,’ Bhagwat called for stronger measures to stop it, highlighting that outsiders are affecting employment opportunities for Indian Muslims. He acknowledged Muslims living in India as citizens deserving of jobs but contended that employment should prioritize citizens rather than those coming from outside countries. Bhagwat urged that the responsibility for outsiders lies with their own nations, supporting government efforts to address infiltration gradually.
His remarks reflect ongoing discussions about national identity, security, and communal harmony amid the broader context of India’s diverse social fabric.
