Officials from Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau uncover disproportionate assets in Warangal Fort Tahsildar case
A disproportionate assets case was registered against the tahsildar of Warangal Fort mandal on August 29 by the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). The investigation revealed properties valued at over Rs 5 crore linked to the accused officer. These included both movable and immovable assets, with the searches covering seven different locations associated with the officer and his relatives.
Among the uncovered properties were a house worth Rs 1.15 crore and agricultural land spanning 17.10 acres valued at Rs 1.43 crore. Additionally, the ACB seized gold ornaments weighing 0.816 kg, silver ornaments of 1.791 kg, 23 wristwatches, and several vehicles including two four-wheelers and a two-wheeler. These findings highlight the extent of the disproportionate wealth held by the tahsildar.
The ACB has called on the public to report any incidents where public servants demand bribes for official work. Complaints can be lodged through multiple channels, including a toll-free number, the official website, and social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter). This appeal aims to strengthen community involvement in fighting corruption and ensuring accountability.
