Bollywood superstar Salman Khan reportedly went through one of the most challenging periods of his life while filming Sikandar. According to actor Vishal Vashishtha, who worked alongside him in the film, Salman was dealing with both personal grief and physical pain but continued to fulfill his professional commitments.

Vishal recalled that the shooting schedule coincided with the aftermath of the death of Salman’s close friend and veteran politician Baba Siddique, a loss that deeply affected the actor. At the same time, Salman was also recovering from a painful rib injury that limited his movement and made even routine activities difficult. Despite these challenges, he continued to report to the set and complete his scenes.

According to Vishal, the actor often struggled physically during filming. He revealed that Salman would complete scenes and then immediately undergo physiotherapy between takes to remain mobile enough for the film’s demanding action sequences. Those working on the project witnessed firsthand the physical and emotional toll the period had taken on him.

A Difficult Period During Sikandar

The production of Sikandar coincided with a turbulent phase in Salman Khan’s life. The murder of Baba Siddique in October 2024 sent shockwaves through the film industry and deeply impacted the actor, who shared a close friendship with the veteran politician. The incident also led to heightened security concerns surrounding Salman.

At the same time, Salman was dealing with a rib injury that reportedly affected his mobility and caused delays in parts of the film’s production schedule. Several action sequences were adjusted to allow him more time to recover.

Co-Star Praises Salman’s Professionalism

Vishal Vashishtha said what impressed him most was Salman Khan’s commitment to work despite everything happening in his personal life. He noted that even when the actor was visibly exhausted and in pain, he continued showing up for shoots and completing his responsibilities.

The actor added that the cast and crew understood the circumstances and recognized the effort Salman was making to keep the project moving forward. According to him, Salman’s determination left a lasting impression on everyone working on the film.
