Anti-Corruption Bureau arrests Mani Harika from Narsingi Municipal Office on charges of demanding and accepting Rs 10 lakh bribe related to LRS document approval
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials arrested Mani Harika, the Town Planning Officer at Narsingi Municipal Office, on Tuesday for demanding and accepting a bribe. Mani Harika allegedly demanded Rs 10 lakh from the complainant as a reward for signing the Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) documents.
It was reported that the complainant had already paid a portion of the bribe earlier. Mani Harika was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 4 lakh in her office. Officials recovered the bribe amount from her during the sting operation.
