Mohammed Siraj, India’s fast bowler, has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for August 2025 following his match-winning performance in the final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England at The Oval. Despite playing only one match in August, Siraj’s outstanding spell of nine wickets at an average of 21.11 helped India secure a thrilling victory and level the five-match series 2-2. His efforts earned him the Player of the Match award for the final Test.
Siraj bowled an intense 46 overs in the match, showing remarkable stamina, skill, and strategic discipline. He was also India’s highest wicket-taker in the series, finishing with 23 wickets at an average of 32.43 across five Tests, including two five-wicket hauls. His consistent performances throughout the England tour established him as a key player in India’s bowling lineup.
Competing against talented bowlers like Matt Henry of New Zealand and Jayden Seales of the West Indies, Siraj’s impactful final Test performance was critical in edging him ahead for the prestigious monthly accolade.
