Police at the crime scene in Adarsh Colony, Tijara, investigating the blue drum case.
Police found the body of a man in a blue drum at a rented home in Adarsh Colony, Tijara district, on Sunday. The victim, Hansraj, had been living in the house for about six weeks with his wife and three children. After the body was discovered, Hansraj’s family was nowhere to be found, and police are now trying to trace their whereabouts.
The landlord, an elderly woman, became suspicious when she smelled a strong foul odour while checking the first floor of the house. On returning later, she noticed the smell was even worse and called the authorities. Police arrived soon after and found a large stone on top of the blue drum, possibly to block the odour. When they opened the lid, they discovered Hansraj’s body inside.
Hansraj was known to work at a brick kiln in Kishangarh Bas. Forensic experts have collected evidence from the scene while police continue to investigate how he died. At the moment, there are no suspects, and police are also contacting Hansraj’s relatives to find out more information about his missing wife and children.
This incident is similar to a case in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, where a man’s body was also found packed in a blue drum in a residential area. The police are carefully looking into all possibilities to find out who is responsible and what exactly happened in both cases
